Katowice was ranked first in the fDi Magazine (Financial Times group) ranking “Polish Cities of the Future 2019/20”, which assesses the attractiveness of Polish cities for foreign investment in terms of economic potential, human resources, cost efficiency, infrastructure, transport accessibility, business friendliness and strategies for attracting foreign investment. Katowice was also on the podium in the category related to transport infrastructure and accessibility: “Top 5 Large Polish Cities of the Future 2019/20 – Connectivity”, taking 3rd place among large Polish cities. The Silesian capital also came first in the ranking organised by Forbes magazine as the most ecological city in Poland in 2019. Katowice creates trends – this is what the Forbes experts said, who appreciated the local government’s effort to prevent and fight environmental deterioration.
